Old Southendian Sixth Annual Christmas Reunion

The Old Boys Band entertain at the Sixth Annual Christmas Reunion

On Tuesday 22nd December 2015, the “Annual” Christmas Reunion in the School’s Music Rehearsal Area returned from its 1 year hiatus with a band: The Old Boys (the Old Southendian’s Big Band) regrouped to entertain around one hundred people in a festive evening of music and catching up with friends.

Popular with university-aged Old Boys (and Girls!) as well as a good following from other generations, the evening raised over £200 in support of the SHSB Music Department. Particular thanks to the members of the band and the other musicians, including Joe Palmer, Amy Sergeant and Megan Knightsbridge, who provided an appropriate mix of Christmassy entertainment throughout, to Peter Worth for organising the musicians and the band made up of present and past school Big Band members, to Jonathan Au and Jonathan Roberts for logistics and tech, to Amanda Lane and all those who helped on the evening to run a well-stocked bar and event enjoyed by all attendees, and of course all who attended!

Look out for details of the Seventh Annual Christmas Reunion event closer to Christmas 2016!
