All former students will remember singing the School song during their time at School - but were you aware that there were originally FIVE verses, rather than the three traditionally sung?
The picture containing the music of the School Song has been provided by Steve Vale (Troy, 1966 - 1973) from a paper copy provided to him whilst at School.
All five of the verses are included in articles that featured in the 2005 and 2008 Magazines about the School Song and its origins, which are available to download and read here.
A recording of the School Song is also available to download and listen to here.
Further information on the School Song, including a clear digitised manuscript copy, is available at the Old Southendian Organ Society website.
